For Heritage Collector Version 4.1 and Higher

Holly Hansen, President of My Ancestors Found, has generously given us permission to share thirteen (13) family history templates and five (5) other helpful files that provide additional instructions and tips. Holly Hansen and Jennifer Johnson created and used these “Capture the Memory” templates to assist others in preparing and printing various kinds of family history. I think you will be very impressed with both the content, qulaity and comprehensive nature of each template.

Each template provides an excellent content outline to help you write, interview and publish different kinds of family history. Each template is formatted in a Word document and ready for you to “fill in the blanks.”

Note: you will need Microsoft Word installed on your computer to use these templates in Heritage Collector.

 

Instructions 

  1. Close Heritage Collector before proceeding.
  2. Click the Download link at the right.
  3. Click the Run or Save button. If you click Save, specify the location where you would like to save the file. You can also click Run to install without saving a copy of the file.
  4. After the download is complete, click Run. The update process will automatically begin.
  5. After installing, run Heritage Collector Professional. You will see a new group called "History Templates." This group will contain two collections. Bonus (instructions and suggestions). Capture the Memories (13 history outlines).
  6. Double click on one of the history thumbnail. Word will automatically load and display the template.
